Helping you - help your horse by Hoof Markups
I just opened the gate to the pasture and for the first time in three weeks he marched right out
there over the limestone in complete comfort. Prior to this trim, even with the boots and pads and had a very hard time walking out there and he did what he could to avoid the rocks. No hesitation..no lagging behind. I could not be more pleased!
I may burst into tears of joy!!!
THANK YOU
Betsy & Zip
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyway, your markups are FANTASTIC and are such a great guide for me as I trim, and I am learning a LOT! I have needed someone to say "YES! Trim that toe back more!!" Or "Get more bar out of there!!" cuz I have been too chicken... So THANKS for your help, and we will talk again soon.. Bb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That markup is so cool !!!! I just finished watching the 4 videos and they were amazing. Laura & Boo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My mares doing incredibly well and she really WANTS to move and go somewhere now. I took her around the entire farm today (went even a bit up and down hill) and she never took a wrong step. Cindy said she was even trotting around her paddock this morning - Cindy said she didn't even look like she was off. Is this an unbelievable fast recovery or what? I honestly can't believe this incredibly fast turn around. Brita and Mariah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cindy has being going along with my program shortening toes more on some of her horses. Today she had the best ride on one of her 4 year olds who she said moved completely different. She thinks it's great we found you so she can still learn and try different things. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My horse's hooves were a mess & she was lame. When Linda began to help me, it was like a light was turned on for I was in the dark about what to do. Let me say, that I had never attended any hoof trimming workshops and am the owner of one horse. I decided to take on the job of trimming my mare because she had gone lame under barefoot trimmers and they were out of ideas so, I felt I needed to be sure every stone was not left unturned. At the rate things were going it looked like this was going to shorten her life considerably and I just didn't want that to happen if at all possible. So, Linda, very patiently and generously, kept guiding me to where I needed to go with my horse. Eventually, progress was made generally but each hoof had/has [still a work in progress] serious issues that needed to be addressed. Linda's markups have showed me the progress of my horse's hooves and it is truly AMAZING! If she hadn't showed me that, I probably would have thrown in the hoof pick several times and quit! Anyhow, I attribute where my horse is now, all the progress she has made, to Linda's diligence, talent and willingness to help others and their horses. I truly thank God for her. Sincerely, Catherine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I know ... more to do. But, it sure feels great to have something so I feel confident I did not just hurt him, but make him feel great. He feels so much better! He's full of sparkle and energy. I just don't know how to thank you! He was trucking around the paddock tonight. Happy boy. And it's all your fault :-) Kerri & Magic - Oregon ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Doesn't it look like that toe needs to be backed up to you? Your marked up pic is so much better and you've been doing a stellar job. Cat & Hobbs - Oregon ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These markups give so much confidence as it's almost like having x-rays to study - it's that sure. Angela - California ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Linda - I couldn't be happier with the positive changes in my horses hooves! I shared the photos and my past tribulations with the other farrier's to help others see what a difference Cheryl's method and weekly trimming has made ..... the "bare-side" is the best side! I know that you are working hard to improve and to help everyone, and I certainly appreciate it !!! Carol ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'll be checking out Linda's markups (they are always so helpful! :-) Kathy - California ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Linda your mark-ups are fantastic and so helpful - thanks again for all your help and the time you spent doing the mark-ups. You have helped me immensely - I don't know if people realize how important it is to have another set of eyes looking at your photos because you miss so much when they are the hooves you look at every day. I feel like I have new eyes to look at hooves with now ! Sheree & Caper ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh THANK YOU LINDA! I REALLY APPRECIATE your markup! That did it! Now I see it clearer! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!! SKY & COPPER ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks, Linda! Awesome those mark ups. As you know I have been working on his heels now for more than 1 year and never got it like this before. He always got sore, so I never went far enough. Now, with Linda's guidance, I went further than I have ever done before. I see improvement. Frederique - Curacao ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Linda, Thanks for sending all the information. I appreciate it ... hopefully I will be able to make it to a meeting one of these days. They sound great & you cover important topics of interest. Life is good & there are alot of good people out there :-) Thanks again for all you do & your efforts organizing, sending info, etc ... You are appreciated ! - Gail ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Testimonials - Hoof Markups
You know I think every product you offer is beyond the price of rubies. The markups made where to trim super clear. Sure showed me how bad Beamie's feet really were. Even though you were given short notice, you delivered the markups in record time. Thank you for your sacrifice for my benefit. Adriene
Cheryl and Linda have been an invaluable help. Under their tutelege and guidance, Lady's hooves have improved more during the last five months than she has in the seven years that I have had her. She has not abscessed once! Her toes have slowly been backed up and as a result the heels are coming back into a more normal position and heigth. My vet is impressed
I am sooo excited! I decided to grit my teeth and go at Ben's frog's with my knife. I started out taking little slivers, he didn't seem to mind so I went for it big time! When I got through and put his feet down( one at at time, mind you), he was walking sound as could be. No ouchiness at all on the concrete. I even took him out to the road where we have limerock, he was a bit tender but not bad at all. I am so thrilled.
Magic has not been sore at all. I'll be doing his back's tonight or tomorrow. When I'm done with him I'll be starting on Grinder( the hard case). I'll be talking to you a lot about him, that's for sure. I can hardly wait to start on him.
You have been so great to me, I want you to know that I am so glad I found you. My horses will be walking on air once we get them all trimmed right. It's just so exciting!
Once I get everybody trimmed I'll send you some show off pictures. I'll definitely send in testimonies. In just one trim I already feel so much better.
I am so thrilled to be able to do this. You have enpowered me to believe that my horses won't have to suffer with hurting feet ever again. Thank you so much! I know you hear that a lot, there are so many people out there that want to make their horses better but just don't know how. Before, I'm done with you, you'll be hoping I go away, lol. I am having so much fun!
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Dale
I have wondered how you can be so patient with all of us so when you say you will be teaching,
it all makes sense. In fact I remarked to Jim that you must have been a teacher at some point....always positive, always encouraging. Elizabeth
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I noticed a big change with Venus. With the heel pain she was standing camped under in front and the back of her scapula lined up with the back of her "elbow". Once I trimmed the bars she stood like you want to see a horse with about a hands width between the back of the scapula and "elbow" Did I tell you we played last night and she gave this wonderful extended trot at liberty and flexed her heels all the way out and reached full extension before hitting the ground in a beautiful heel first landing! She isn't cutting the flight path of her legs short and trying to take the support phase more at the toe. She is comfy flexing all the way through the joints into her feet... AMAZING! Nikole

Coal is doing better and better every day. I'm so pleased with his progress. I've been riding him in the round pen a little and am going to take him down to the arena next week for a little walk trot and see how he does on the straight. He was getting right after it out in the pasture yesterday morning. They all did the grand circuit and he didn't canter, but really extended his trot beautifully. Jeff says that he's getting a nice callus on his front toes, so I think that the more I work him at this point the better. First thank you for Cappy's markups, they are amazing!!! Second they are so easy to understand, even for me. I have watched the video 10 times and I have been able to start picking out things with his feet that just didn't seem right even after the last trim from my old barefoot trimmer. Jennifer |
